Show Time

It's down to 4hrs and 5 mins till I violently shake as the first song is played.

Right now

-nerves 6

4 hrs from now

-nerves 11

I use to perform in front of people all the time. Plays and musical solos were a stable in high school. It's not as easy now as it was then. During some point between then and now I became aware of myself. Big mistake.

I wonder if I'll ever get use to being up on stage again.

Can't hurt to keep on trying.
We were not given a spirit of fear.

(Someone please tell me that tonight!!!)

Jammin Java March 14th

Don't forget if you've not already heard.

This will be my second time playing at Jammin Java.
The first time I was fettered to the Bass, but this time my unclipped wings will soar into acoustical guitar stardom...(ok not really) but I'll at least get to play with a few of my very good friends including Laura Waters and Greg Justice. In all honesty, the talent lies in those two and I'm privileged to go along for the melodic ride.

Here's the blurb that Greg wrote and the Jammin Java link as well.

Tuesday March 14 $10 8PM rock Rachel Wilhelm and the Einsteins of Love + Laura Waters and the Defectors Breaking Up the Band to Benefit Rwanda Awareness
Not all division is bad. For example, human cells divide -- and if they didn't you'd still be churning your cytoplasm through an unsophisticated mononucleatic system of interdependent organelles.
Some division is bad -- such as racial segregation of schools.
But another example of good division is the splitting up of the Einsteins of Love.
What was once a powerhouse ensemble band playing select folk, oldies and classic rock covers -- from Nickel Creek to Tom Waits, from U2 to Arlo Guthrie -- has now become two powerhouse ensemble bands, since The Einsteins outgrew their water-permeable membrane and split.
Rachel Wilhelm and the Einsteins will remain true to form, refashioning classic tunes with their rich, vibrant folk-rock sound. And Laura Waters will lead The Defectors in a stripped-down acoustic romp through wild fields of never-before-medleyed-and-yet-still-thematically-coherent cover tunes.
And also true to form, 100% of the proceeds will go towards a good cause. Last time the money went to aiding victims of hurricane Katrina. This time, we will support the production of an independent documentary film about faith and reconciliation in post-genocide Rwanda, directed and produced by Laura Waters. $10 Suggested Donation.
